remember, i pulled my motor, i took it apart, i built it, and i put it back in. i had the mech shop do very little to what i had, i took apart most of the heads b4 i droped them off to themfor cleaning a pressure testing. and the only out side help i had with it was a buddy bring his hoist over so i could lift it out of the car. and then to bring it back in and he helped me lift my tranny up and in to the car. everything else i did. from gapping the rings and pastic guaging the bearings to shutting the hood after it's first crank up after the rebuild. i have done the same. about 3 times now. but, its parts i paid to have fabricated that break, that shouldnt break, and thats when i get mad. the current motor in my car, is all built by me. bottom end and all. all i did was take it to the machine shop for boring and balancing, then i put it back together. still running strong. i did a compression test the other nite and had 170-180 #'s across all cylinders. i think i know the problem now, and i'll solve it in the spring.
